Narva is the third largest city in Estonia. It is located at the eastern extreme point of Estonia, by the Russian border, on the Narva River which drains Lake Peipus. Narva is approximately 200km away from Tallinn and Tallinn Airport serves Narva. Flights come into Tallinn Airport from many European cities including London-Stansted, Vienna and Barcelona. Once you have arrived at the airport the easiest option is to rent a car and drive to Narva, the journey is straight forward and will take you about three hours. The old castle in the centre of Narva is situated against the river. The castle survived the Second World War bombings and is really worth to visit. If you have a visa to Russia you can also visit the other old castle at the other side of the river. Outside the castle there is also a statue of Lenin which s a good place for a family photograph. In summer it's also recommended to visit the beach at Narva Joesuu. The climate and pine forest with the spacious beach with golden sand and cool and clean water of the Baltic Sea makes it a nice place to spend your holiday. Narva has a good nightlife with a lot of different clubs and bars where you can drink, dance and meat the local Estonians. As well as the clubs there are also many nice restaurants for you to try with local food to try.
