London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom and is one of the leading business, financial, and cultural centers in the world. London is a major international air transport center. The city has 8 airports but most air traffic passes through one of five major airports: London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, London Luton and London City.
London Heathrow Airport is the busiest airport in the world for international traffic. Gatwick, Stansted and Luton concentrate on low-cost, short-haul flights and London City Airport, the smallest and most central airport, is focused on business travellers, with a mixture of full service short-haul scheduled flights and considerable business jet traffic.
London is home of many historical and modern attractions. The city offers an outstanding opportunity to rent a car and explore well known places of interest such as The London Eye, The Tate Modern Museum, Big Ben and The Tower of London. With free admission to many of the attractions there is no better place to soak up some culture.
London has something to offer everyone; grand stately houses, relaxing green parks and a zoo, interesting museums and art galleries and bustling shopping centres with all the major stores, specialist shops and markets.
The Royal Family have their main residence in London, at Buckingham Palace, but there are many other interesting houses to visit within London with Royal connections including Hampton Court Palace and Regents Park, an ancient Royal hunting park.
